The Cardio24 is a personalized, non-invasive, handheld heart monitoring device. It allows users to measure and record electrical activities of the heart anywhere and anytime. Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are obtained via specially designed electrodes without any complicated wires or conducting gel. Users only need to press the Start button twice, and gently place their thumbs on the electrodes. The device will automatically start the tracing of ECG signals. Cardio24 records 'Modified ECG signal', equivalent to standard ECG lead (Lead one/Lead I), through the thumbs. (Note 1) Each measurement only requires 30 seconds and 15 continuous seconds of ECG signals will be recorded. Average heart rate (HR), ST value and QRS interval will be calculated automatically, and these parameters will be displayed instantly on the LCD screen for users to understand their cardiac conditions easily. (Note 2) If the environment or the user's condition is not favorable using the thumbs, external auxiliary electrodes can be replaced to provide the same measurements and recordings. Note1.
